One of the most important things for the first couple of months is to keep track of your expenses. It is very likely that you will spend on unnecessary things, especially during the first year.
You will get money from your GIC and you will also be making a few hundred dollars with your part-time job. So make sure to save as much as you can with your GIC. And only start spending once you get used to life here.

Accommodation
First and most important is accommodation. There are basically four different options for accommodation; a basement, an apartment, a condo, and a house.
